ali graney - about me

I am a freelance Illustrator (MA) Lecturer, and workshop leader. I draw with ink and a straw - preferably Ribena ones. Past clients include Novy Prostor, The Big Issue, The Guardian on-line, FACT and numerous corporate clients via Rhino studios. I am currently working on two picture books.

I am based in Sheffield, UK where I live and work with my partner Lee, who is also an Illustrator. We have a really fat cat called Olive, there she is, on the left.

I am also a freelance workshop leader and was the co-founder of hydra-arts, an artist run initiative to encourage visual activities in schools. I am fully CRB checked and hold Public Liabilty Insurance. I've been lucky enough to work with Sheffield Museum's Culture Lab, Foyers, Sure Start, Early Arts, Community Arts, Channel 4's Big Art Project, The Lowry, The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, as well as residencies in schools in the UK and abroad.
